To ensure the health and safety of our officers and our community through sustaining support for the Saint Paul Police Department.
Saint Paul is a special community. It is also Minnesota’s capital and gathering place that connects with so many of us. The Saint Paul Police Foundation is a way for us to join together and support the people who dedicate themselves to serve us by making sure our community continues to be a safe place to live, work, and connect.
Keeping a community safe and secure is an incredible responsibility. Meeting this challenge has never been more important as Saint Paul and other communities face complex and evolving public safety challenges. Each day the amazing women and men of the Saint Paul Police Department dedicate themselves to being true public servants by connecting with and engaging the entire community. To help support them and the work they do, the Saint Paul Police Foundation is an important partner and resource to support the department, its officers, and its leadership.
The Foundation is committed to supporting the Saint Paul Police Department through projects that create community partnerships, expand the use of technology in deterring and solving crime, and improve the readiness of our police department through education focused on the safety of our citizens.
The Saint Paul Police Foundation was established in 2005. Since then, the foundation has provided more than $5 million in support to the Saint Paul Police Department. The Saint Paul Police Foundation is a 501(c)(3) corporation that depends entirely on the generosity of corporations, individuals, foundations, and other philanthropic organizations for project and operating budgets. It receives no tax-levy dollars for its operations.
The Foundation is the primary vehicle for tax-exempt gifts and grants from individuals, businesses, and philanthropies for the Saint Paul Police Department.
"People ask me all the time how they can support our officers and the department through donations. I always tell them about the Foundation because it understands the needs of our community, officers and department and can help people make donations of all sizes.”
